Divorce is relatively common in the United States. According to the National Center for Health Statistics, in 2019 the divorce rate was 14.9 divorces per 1,000 married women aged 15 and older.<\/p>\n

California has one of the highest divorce rates in the United States. According to the California Department of Public Health, in 2019, there were 142,459 divorces in California, which is a rate of 3.5 divorces per 1,000 people. However, it’s worth noting that the divorce rate can vary depending on various factors such as age, income, education, and cultural background, among others.After the marriage rate hit a 50-year low in 2020 (i.e., 28.1 marriages per 1,000 unmarried women), the marriage rate dropped slightly lower in 2021 to 28.0 marriages per 1,000 unmarried women<\/b>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
